Description
Oregon Fireweed Honey
Fireweed is a tall and colorful mountain wildflower. The vibrant pink-purple flowers are a brilliant contrast to the greens and browns of the Cascade Mountain conifers. Fireweed is an early seral plant, meaning it grows where there has been recent soil disturbance. Most commonly, fireweed regenerates on the forest floor after wildfire and grows rapidly like a weed, hence its name.
Fireweed honey is light in color and has very fine crystals when crystalized. Known as the champagne of honeys, it’s flavor is mild, traditional, delicate, and sweet with just a touch of spice at the finish.
Note: Our Fireweed Honey is pure, raw, and unadulterated, and may crystalize as a result. This is to be expected of natural honey and does not impact the usability of the product.

I love honey… and have tried many varieties. I have to say that the flavor of this honey is delicious. it is sweet and light and tastes amazing on cereal or on its own. Don’t settle for classic wildflower honey or Clover honey when you can have the fireweed. It truly is delicious.
