Oregon Clover Honey
Clover contributes more to the production of honey in the United States than any other plant because it produces a lot of nectar, and the bees love it! With all that honey its no wonder so many people are familiar with it. Our most common request in our Honey Tasting Room is for “plain, or “regular” honey. With no preservatives, additives, or any other adulteration, all of our honey is plain honey!
In Marion and Polk County thousands of acres are planted with clover which offer the bees a near infinite source of clover nectar. Consequently clover honey is one our largest honey crops. This keeps us supplied with clover honey year-round. Some years we even get different varieites of clover honey such as crimson clover and white clover. Although subtle, their tastes are different from one another and worth comparing!
Oregon clover honey is light amber in color, and often mild in flavor. It has a subtle taste, reminiscent of grassy floral fields. It is a delicate and delicious taste that is likable by almost everyone. Clover honey really is good on everything. Mix it with your tea or spread it on toast. There is no wrong way to use clover honey! In conclusion, not only is our clover honey raw, natural, and pure, it is one of our best sellers. You can’t go wrong with good old fashioned clover honey!
