Oregon Carrot Blossom Honey

Carrot Honey has a wonderful aroma, sharper than most, almost like an exotic wood. It has a strong flavor, which will initially impress you as caramel; but then begins the intriguing journey of aftertaste. It’s a little like tasting what rain smells like. There is a strong root flavor with a sweet and earthy finish. If you really like your honey flavor to stand out on foods, look no further.

Carrot Honey is great for cooking. We use carrot honey in some of our favorite recipes including cookies, bread, and stir-frys. Brewers, you will love this one too. Carrot blossom honey is one of the best for making meads and other brews. It is an uncommon honey, so brewers cherish it and often guard it jealously. If you haven’t already, give this honey a try!

Note: Our Carrot Blossom Honey is pure, raw, and unadulturated, and may crystalize as a result. This is to be expected of natural honey and does not impact the usability of the product.

This is the best and most delectably floral honey I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, fermenting, and devouring. It definitely has a distinctive taste, but there is certainly nothing off-putting about said distinctive taste, as I keep returning to it again and again. I received a small amount as a birthday gift and returned to this same vendor to purchase 24 pounds within the year. It has made some fantastic mead and complements many fruits I have paired it with.

Strongly recommend– I don’t know/understand/care why it is one of the cheapest honeys this vendor offers, but capitalize.

Tim, honey is such a great gift! We’re glad you like the carrot blossom honey, and thank you for sharing how much you like it!

Purchased a 2 gallon tub for a strong 5 gallon batch of mead. One of the best meads I’ve ever made, that earthy undertone bloomed into a lovely complexity once the sugars had fermented out allowing a more prominent place in the flavor profile. Family liked it so much I had to order another tub.
